Definitely deserved recognition, and definitely overdue (which can only be put down to everyone already assuming you were a VIP! :-)
Great things have you achieved here and hopefully many more lie ahead.
Is for the UA bar... well that's an interesting story. It actually resides in England. It was located near Newcastle some years ago, but now, in fact, is located in Sheffield.
Oappreciate that not everyone will be able to get there to take advantage of the awesome Real Ales and German/Belgian Lagers that will be presented - fear not... I'll take one for the team and accept them all on other's behalf. That's just the type of guy I am.
Many congrats Joe!!

And once again, many, many thanks to you all for your good wishes. I am indeed privileged to be here with you.
eigh: Been years (since the late 1990s) since I was in England - and passed through Newcastle a couple times, but missed Sheffield (I think). But had a great time in Ipswich on the last trip (working with a software company there for a client based in California), especially at the Tolly Cobbold Cliff Brewery (I am told that it is now gone - but I still wear my apron from there when grilling). Great ale. I was skeptical when I was told the ale would be at room temperature - until I realized that the room temperature was about that of the inside of my refrigerator!
I do have Newcastle ale in my 'frig and indeed had one last evening. And toasted you all. Now as soon as I can follow theDBguy's directions (still trying, but I ended up somewhere in the river swamps the last time I tried and the bouncer ... well, I didn't know the password ...) ...
Thanks, and my best to you all...
Joe

Congratulations Joe, well overdue
If Larry hasn't drank it all I will have a shot of that 100 year old Scotch.
And if you see me you don't have to climb the stairs just hitch a ride on the elevator with me since I have a lounge key for it.
All kidding aside Joe for all the help you give to our members, look forward to reading many more of your posts!
