I've recently copied several folders containing files onto a folder on a network.

When I search for "*.*" in the root folder it returns "No items match your search". Now I know files exist in there (over 100) and other folders on the network return results fine. It seems to be with this specific folder that I have copied.

Anyone ever encountered this before? Indexing perhaps?

if there are only directory(folders) in the root, use

dir *.

if you want to see files in sub-directories, use

dir *.* /s or
dir *.* /s /p

use

dir /h

for help.

sorry - i'll guess you are using explorer for your search. still - checking what is returned in a command prompt might help resolve.
