I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who help me with your suggestions and links

I realize how little I know and how very basic I am with my Access. I am trying to learn and you folks have helped a lot

I totally agree.

After years of sifting through books, tutorials, websites and forums, I signed on here and a whole bunch of those authors are answering my questions before the ink is dry.

It truly is a wonderful experience.

Oops - just found this in "How to post a good question"

QUOTE
Thank people who are particularly helpful - but privately.

OK. I believe that any stranger who takes time to help me deserves my explicit thanks, but I also like to respect the guidelines.

I am eternally grateful to UA - my "career" in IT-related jobs as report analyst, database developer, etc. would not have been successful at ALL without UA ... to be honest, I rarely answer questions, not because I'm a "taker not a giver," it's just I can't compete with the geniuses in this forum... but I try to always post the solution, in case anyone is following. I think UA is head-and-shoulders above other forums - my "sucess" rate in posting here and finding a solution is nearly 100%

My foray into this arena was gradual - I'm not your typical computer geek, I just love doing things the best way, and that's why I love automation in the area of macros/VBA, for example

Thanks to everyone who's helped me over these 10+ years !!!

Steve
