Hello All,

I've split my db into a frontend and backend.

I delete my linked tables in the frontend and close the db.

I want to secure the backend so I open exclusive and encrypt the db with a password.

I try to open the frontend and access take me to the create db screen. So I while holding the shift key I try opening again and the same thing happens.

I open the backend and remove the encryption close the db.

I open the frontend and it opens just fine. I can relink to the backend with no problems.

Any suggestions of what might be happening? I need to be able to secure the backend.

Thanks,
Point

Did you have a linked USysRibbons table? Delete it (it is hidden) and try again. (see: http://www.devhut.net/2016/10/11/access-usysribbons-bug/)
