I have an application that was originally developed in Ms Access 2007 in which charts were running perfectly ok. However, when the application is opened in an Ms Access 2013 environment, the charts cannot run anymore but instead throw the error message: Run-time error '-2147467259 (80004005)
And the offending code is second line of the following:

Set PivotChart = New PivotChartClass
PivotChart.ChartSpace = Me.DynamicSubform.Form.ChartSpace

I searched on the internet for a possible cause and discovered that "PivotChartClass" has been discontinued by Microsoft. My question is "Is there a way of getting round this as a lot of code has been invested to produce the charts."

The only option I'm aware of is what Microsoft claimed as their justification for scrapping the feature: Excel does it better.

You might have to bite the bullet and redo all of the charts through automation of Excel.

Sorry: I'm sure that's not what you wanted to hear! Good luck with your project (and feel free to post more questions if you have questions about automating Excel)
