Hi Bob,

It's okay.. regarding mr. joe's rev table. , sorry below for additional question.

i need zero or null to be shown as negative symbol or dash "-" instead of showing 0 and blank if data not exist.

Hi again Phil: Right, the way you are trying is not going to work. The reason is because you are trying to add a non-numeric to a numeric. Try this instead ...

=IIf(Sum(IIf([D]=1,[Normal],0))=0,"-",Sum(IIf([D]=1,[Normal],0)))

This approach checks to see if the value to be displayed is zero. If it is it reverts to a text value of "-". If it is not it recalculates the Sum for display.

Someone may be able to shorten this a bit, but this seems to work in my tests. All of your controls must be modified to use this approach.

Oh, and I noticed in my revision to your db I reversed Idle and Fuel lines. If you did not catch that, that will need to be corrected.
