Hi,

This is a shortened description of what I want to do.
I have a table that is filled with emails.
I loop through the table deleting specific records as well as other records from other tables.
It takes some time and I thought a slider would at least give the user a feel for the time it will take to complete the tasks.
I don't need anything fancy so I downloaded the Access native slider control.

I cannot find any documentation on how to set up the control and use it with the loop set up to delete the records from the tables.

This is some of the code:

CODE
Dim objNS As Outlook.NameSpace: Set objNS = GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Dim olFolder As Outlook.MAPIFolder
    Set olFolder = objNS.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderInbox)
    Dim Item As Object
    Dim dbCurr As DAO.Database
    Dim rsCurr As DAO.Recordset
    Dim intRecCount As Integer

    Dim intEmailsUnDeleted As Integer
    Dim strFindFirst As String
    Dim dbFollowUp As DAO.Database
    Dim rsFollowUp As DAO.Recordset

    Set dbCurr = CurrentDb
Set rsCurr = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset("Select * From tblDeleteContacts", dbOpenDynaset)

    If rsCurr.RecordCount = 0 Then
        MsgBox "tblDeleteContacts is empty"
        Exit Sub
    End If

    Set dbFollowUp = CurrentDb
Set rsFollowUp = dbFollowUp.OpenRecordset("Select * From qryFollowUp", dbOpenDynaset)

    If rsFollowUp.RecordCount = 0 Then
        MsgBox "qryFollowUp has no records"
        Exit Sub
    End If

    intEmailsUnDeleted = 1

    While Not rsCurr.EOF

        rsFollowUp.FindFirst ("Email = '" & rsCurr!Email & "'")

        If Not (rsFollowUp.NoMatch) Then
            rsFollowUp.Edit
                rsFollowUp!Closed_YN = False
            rsFollowUp.Update
        End If

        rsCurr.MoveNext

    Wend

Thanks,

Sorry I bothered anyone, I figured out how to do the slider.

I initialized it to a starting value and incremented it as necessary.

Please disregard this issue.

Thank you,

I do have one issue.

The slide reaches the end approximately 2 minutes before the process ends.

My settings are attached as SliderImage.JPG.
