Is it possible to run a parameter query in Access from Excel? Can I create a form in Excel that prompts the user for a value to pass to the parameter query?

Thanks
Mark

In theory, yes. As is often the case, the devil is in the details.

Access can't actually know the parameters set for an Access query in an external program. However, you can probably accomplish this by doing the filtering locally in Excel. More details will help us offer a realistic suggestion. I suspect you could accomplish this by setting the connection in a VBA function in Excel, wherein the parameter is determined and applied.

Another possibility might be to do something with a Pivot table in Excel, where you can select filters.
