Hi,

I want to run an alternative query if I get the Append Error message that it can't append because of duplicates, see attached jpeg as a simple example,
now to do get this message I need to set the Warnings to on i.e

CODE
DoCmd.SetWarnings True

but I don't want any messages output to the User's screen weather there is duplicates or not,

I know it is a tall order but Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Brian

if you do NOT want to see messages:
DoCmd.SetWarnings false

TRUE turns ON messages.

Hi,

I know True turns on the messages but I want to capture the message without it going to screen, but I found another way of doing it by checking the Record count before and after the append without much performance hit as the Unique Table doesn't have a large amount records.

Regards
Brian
