I need some help with a grouped report. I have a query that is accessing a table that i cannot alter. It uses three data sets sorted in ascending order to develop a priority of top to bottom. After that initial sort i need to be able to group like items together still using the priority so the top record could be with record 50 or 200 or, etc. Those would be at the top of the report and woudl then group down from there based on the next top record that doesnt match the top one. (and yes there is the possiblity of null values)

Are you able to post a copy of your database with sample data?

I'm not clear on your requirements or your data structure. What constitutes a "group"? How should the groups be distinguished? My guess is that this can be done using the Sorting and Grouping features of a Report, rather than trying to do it in a Query. But without more information it's hard to say!
