Developing an Access application in a current or recent version can lead the developer to inadvertenly using VBA functionality that was not available in earlier versions. This is not a problem unless you need to convert the application to an earlier for partcular users. At the very least the lack of certain functionality in the earlier Access version will cause the application to 'behave' differently. However, there is also the risk that the application may fail to compile because you have used a function, or method that does not exist in the Access library on the target machine.

The attachment to this FAQ has a summary of some feature that were introduced or modified in Access 2002 and are not available or different in Access 2000. There may be addtional features that should be added to this FAQ. Please report any errors or ommission to argeedblu@utteraccess.com.

Attachment update 25-Sep-04

I will continue to update the attachment as new information comes to light.
