Full Version: Change default position of cell comments

If I add a comment to a cell, it always seems to revert back to a set position, no matter how much I move it from the cell it refers to. The size remains as I've stretched it but the comments box always reverts to a position just off the top right of the cell.

Can this be changed so it stays where I drag it to??

Hi,
if you hide and redisplay a comment it will automatically return to the default position.
So a way around that is not to hide the comment and always showing it!

There isn't really an appropriate place to have it showing all the time....although it might be a possibility if I rejig things slightly, thanks!

You're welcome.
You might be able to somehow trick the system though.
Since it is not possible to manually or programatically set the position of a comment if it hides and reappears you might be able to make a comment visible when a cell is selected and invisible when another one is selected with some VBA code.
But this might still not be 100% fool proof as a selection would make the comment reposition ones again!

Good luck
