I've never used Microsoft Access before, so I'm totally new to it and UA Forum. I'm sorry if I post my thread in the wrong place.

I have a table called "CODE" which contains two columns, in the column 1 there are up to 4000 entries of CODE,and in the column 2 there are the corresponding city name. There are no duplicate records in the table.

What I want to do is design a simple interface(I don't know how it called) in which there is a blank field where I can input the code, the corresponding city name will be displayed in the nearby area.

I know my question is very easy to you experts, but I don't even know how to get it started.

Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome to UA !!

You can create a form base on your table and create a combo box as a search box in the form.
The combo box must base on CODE table. about how to create the combo box maybe you can try to find it in Ms.Access help file. Hope this can help u....
