I have a query that I have added fields into. I want the query to show the data in the order the fields are laid out in the design view. The query does shwo all the field but not in the order I have laid out. Thanks for any help.

Hi,
why does it matter how the query displays its results? Users should never see the query level anyway and you can decide the format of that data on forms and reports the way you exactly want it.

Good luck

In the query builder, click on the "Sort" box under the field and table names, and select Ascending or Descending in your date field

This isn't my build. I was hired to make things work the way they want. This what they want. Can it be done?

Godders, I am not needing to sort the data I need the fields to come out in a certian way across

You might try developing another query that uses the existing query as its table. Arrange the fields in that query as they want them.

I still don't understand why it would matter unless you are exporting the data in a specific format.

Good luck
