I can't permanently get rid of the Seagate Crystal Report Wizard toolbar in Excel. It's one little icon but takes an entire row for itself. I can move it, delete it, save the template or spreadsheet, and it comes back every time I reopen Excel. How can I make it go away permanently?
(Same situation with an Adobe Acrobat button in MS Word.)
Using version 2k SR-1)

I don't have that toolbar, but you can turn toolbars off and on by chosing View, Toolbars and click on/off the ones you want.

Thanks John. Have tried that but it comes back every time. I'm thinking it must be stored in the registry somewhere. There's got to be a way to hack it out!

I figured that you probably had. Yes you may be right there may be a registry entry.

What about checking the Add-In off?
1. While Excel is running click 'Tools' and then click 'Add-Ins'.
2. In the 'Add-Ins available' list click to clear the 'Seagate Crystal Report Wizard' check box.

lrudduck,
If the suggestion above doesn't work, (which I am pretty sure that it will) you can write your own addin so that every time excel loads, it hides the toolbar for you.
Personally, I think unchecking the addin will work though.
Brad.

clearing the add-ins box took care of it. Thanks!
