when I open one of my databases, on the very top of the screen, on the blue bar, it show: yt - ["name of my database" : Database (access 2002-2003 file format)]

My question: what is the yt or where did it come from.

These are options you can set that will be true when the database is opened. For instance, you could set your switchboard as the startup form and turn off the database window. Turn off the shortcut keys, built-in menus, a whole bunch of stuff. When all this is turned off, it makes the database pretty secure, not perfectly, but against most naive users it is not bad. You'll also need Ricky Hicks' Shift-Key bypass utility.

StartUp ...

Is where you define your Application Title, Application Icon, your default menu bar, Display Form, Shortcut menu bar ...

If you want to hide the database window on the startup of your database, just uncheck the Display database window ...

Now, to get it back hold [ SHIFT ] key prior to opening the database ...

You might want to uncheck the options below and leave only the status bar ...
