Hello,

Attached is a weather "widget" sample for the XSideBAR "component", which demostrates the use of the DOMDocument object to download and display weather from weather.com weather service thru the use of XML.

You must register with weather.com to obtain a partner id and a license key to access their services. Once you have registered you'll receive a link to download the SDK and the associated icons. Please pay close attention to the requirements before building your own weather object in your app.

I have provided a sample xml file and icons to demostrate how it works. If you'd like to use this, you'll have to register and uncomment the appropriate line in the sample. Please note that this demo works only in the US sad.gif

Enjoy... if you have any questions, please feel free to post your questions here so that others can benefit from the discussion. Please note that i will not be able to response to you in a timeley manner if you PM me or if you send direct emails.

Have fun sad.gif

Dom,

Can you grab rain fall info through the sidebar & use that data within Access?

Aqua,

You're gonna have to excuse my ignorance... what do you mean rain fall? from weather.com?

Sorry I wasn't clear.

I figured you might have been referring to weather.com, but wasn't really sure... i either case, i have not checked to see if this information is available in the xml document. I will let you know when i get a change.
