I created a form that has a calculated text box =([b]/[a]). The problem is that the result of the calculation does not show in the table in the column for that calculation. How can I fix this problem?

Hi,
Welcome to UA Forums.
HAs a general rule you do NOT want to store calculated values at the Table level. You can calculate them at runtime in queries or on forms/reports as you are already doing.

Good luck

Welcome to UA.
alculated values are and never should be stored in a database, for they are calculated on the fly.

Hi,

That is generally true but I wouldn't say never. There are circumstances (tho rare) that if you know and are 100% sure that underlying data which form bases for your calculations will never change, then I don't see nothing wrong with storing calculations.
