Can you explain a little about what you are confused about? Do you have specific questions concerning combo boxes?
Adamaland
Yes, I'm trying to get my combo box to display a certain record/records, but i'm not sure how to do this in the way i have my tables set up. It's kind of hard for me to think up an example to describe it exactly

Did I ever reply to your question about important people with the name William?

Adam,

Crystal provided an excellent tutorial on using the combo box in the manner I think you need. I was asking if you had specific questions concerning the advice given. I understand that working with Access can be overwhelming in the beginning. However, it will not benefit you to have someone hand you the complete solution without some effort on your part to understand the proposed solution and to try to implement it properly.

One of the best ways to gain knowledge is trial and error. Try to analyze the advice and adapt it to your application... if/when you get stuck or need clarification, ask questions...Utter Access’ members will happily help you through it...

Des,

I believe we did have a conversation concerning all the Great People names William. But it's been a while. So if you care to stroke my ego, I'm all for it. laugh.gif

William, (as "Des" referred to you as)

I wasn't asking for the solution, I had been through several tutorials, although i may have forgotten about crystals, and have been fiddling with it for several hours. I believed i had exhausted all my ideas to get it to work. What i was asking for was the cause of the problem, If i knew that, i could then work on the solution. (Also i posted what i thought the solution was in the other topic, but i hadn't got a reply to that).

Thanks anyway though, i appreciate you taking the time to reply
