I know how to produce an autonumber without using the autonumber feature in access (via Candace Tripps website), but is it possible to meld a few numbers together in a field to make a different number and a set of letters? What I mean is this--I have a form that has an autonumber (1123), a field where the person entering the data inputs their initials (VF), and another field with the date(2-1-2008). What I aim to do is on the report that is printed out (or even on the form will work too) to have these things work together to form a "Customer Quote Number Field" to read 1123VF2008.
Is this possible?

Try:
ustQuoteNum: [YourAutoNumberField] & [YourInitialsField] & Year([YourDateField])

Thanks! Worked like a charm!
