Hello, I put this switchboard together and cant figure out how to fix the flickering of the controls. Sugestions would be greatly appreciated....
Thanks!

Are you running Office 2k3 SP3?
I used to suffer from a flicker especially noticeable from Remote Desktop/Terminal Servers sessions. SP3 fixed it.
Note, this wasn't from the switchboard personally, as I generally don't choose to use it.

Hi,
do you use any unattached labels and a tab control? Check this
article for more on that. Are you running any form timer events?

Good luck

The problem is caused because you've got code resetting all of the label colours every time the mouse moves (even if it's only a fraction!!)
Here's the code in question:
CODE
Private Sub Detail_MouseMove(Button As Integer, Shift As Integer, X As Single, Y As Single)
    Label80.ForeColor = 8388608 'Sets the text color back to Blue
    Label81.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label82.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label83.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label84.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label85.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label86.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label87.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label88.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label89.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label90.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label91.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label92.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label93.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label94.ForeColor = 8388608
    Label95.ForeColor = 8388608
        mOutFont ("Label80") 'Sets the text size back to font 8
        mOutFont ("Label81")
        mOutFont ("Label82")
        mOutFont ("Label83")
        mOutFont ("Label84")
        mOutFont ("Label85")
        mOutFont ("Label86")
        mOutFont ("Label87")
        mOutFont ("Label88")
        mOutFont ("Label89")
        mOutFont ("Label90")
        mOutFont ("Label91")
        mOutFont ("Label92")
        mOutFont ("Label93")
        mOutFont ("Label94")
        mOutFont ("Label95")
End Sub

What I would do is actually check the status of each label before you just reset it... check the font size and colour in one go. EG:
CODE
If Label80.ForeColor <> 8388606 Then Label80.ForeColor = 8388608

Hope this helps.

Hello Freakazaud I had tried this module the other day and I couldnt get it to work. I had used it before because I had some flicker on a form with many labels and it fixed the issue. Adaytay, I had also tried your sugestion of replacing the code in the detail section with the sugested code and I still recieve the flicker but I could possibly doing it wrong since im learning... shrug.gif
Thanks!
