Full Version: Switchboard won't correctly open a form in datasheet view

I've created a form called frmPatientByInsCoName5 which opens correctly e.g., in datasheet view, from the database window, but when called from Switchboard, it will only open in single recordview. Default view property is set to Datasheet, and Allow Form View property is set to no.
I am stumped and frustrated. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Welcome to UA forums.
You need to create a custom function that opens the form with the OpenForm method and forces the datasheet view e.g.:
oCmd.OpenForm "frmMyForm", acFormDS
Call the function from your switchboard command and then it will open it correctly. For some reason the switchboard commands like to overwrite the defined form view and use the default one.
HTH
Good luck
