Hi,
How to join the workgroup directly via VBA?
I have tried DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdWorkgroupAdministrator
But this opens the the BROWSE window.
I woud instead prefer the users to join directly.
ETAILS:
Workgroup file name is: Secured.mdw
Located on: F:\SMSDb\Secured.mdw
thanks a lot,
SMS

In general, you should NOT have your users CHANGE the default workgroup file that is used to restrict a db application. When the user changes the default, the databases created with the workgroup file, on the users machine will be tied to the default work group ...
o you want to use a particualar Workgroup to launch a db application with? ... If so, you do that with a short cut command line switch ... for example, here is the "Target" property of a shortcut that opens a db with a specific workgroup file ...
"MSACCESS.EXE" "C:\SecureApp\SecureApp.mdb" /wrkgrp "C:\SecureApp\Secured.mdw"

I'm not sure what the question is either...
Are you not wanting to open a secured DB:

But instead perform manipulations on the members of the group? Via ADOX perhaps?
