I have form named "Main" and a subform name "SubMain".
I have a control on the subform named "txtAddress" and i want to make it a required control.
I have a Button on the main form Save.
What I want to do is have the Close button on the main form check to see if there is a value in the txtAddress control.
so far unless the user click on the subform nothing happens any advice ?

There are several approaches to this. You can set Required to TRUE in the table so that the record will not save unless the value is entered in the form. You can also check to see if IsNull(Me.txtAddress) on any event procedure and make the person entered the data.
