I know for most of you this is probably pretty basic, but I have created a new field in which I want to provide a drop down box. I thought I could right click on the field and it would allow me to edit drop down choices. That option is not showing up. What am I doing wrong?

Each time I go into table properties and change the property of this field to a list box, it still does not reveal the "edit list box choices" option.

I would suggest using a comboBox on your forms with a ValueList that has your desired 'box choices' instead of changing dataType properties at the table level. Using the combobox wizard you can select to store the value in the field you have designated in your table.

I would suggest opening the "table in design view", and in the dropdown list of "type of data", choose the last option: "wizard search". I don't have the english version of access, so it can be badly translated
