Hi,

I'm getting a syntax error on a query that took me all day to create. When I try to get into design mode I get an error message box with a cancel button and a help button. It won't allow me to do anything except press the cancel button which aborts the query. So, if I can't open the query I can't fix it.

Is there a way to get around this issue?

Hi Mike,

try running the query from the SQL view ... if it is a syntax issue, Access will tell you where the problem is. If it is a logic issue, perhaps you need to nest queries instead of doing so much with one.
