I have been having this problem for awhile, but since I am still building the database, I do all of my work through the db window. I have several forms that allow for input (primarily through combo box selections) then a Preview Report command button that opens the desired report. When I open the forms through the database window, the report pulls up with no issues. If I open the forms through the switchboard though, the db just crashes completely.
I have compacted and repaired, and do so regularly. Did not resolve the issue.
I have deleted the switchboard and underlying table, then re-built it. Still an issue.
Any ideas why this might be happening??
Thanks.

It sounds like there is a problem with the code behind the button on the switchboard form, but since you have rebuilt it perhaps it is something more subtle. Do you have any special characters in the form name that is being opened from the switchboard? Do you have any code in the On Load or On Open event of the form you are trying to open that references anything on the switchboard form? I don't know what else to tell you since I usually don't go the switchboard route; I prefer to build my own menu system.

There are three user input forms - all three were based off the same original - so it seems odd that only 2 of the 3 are affected... there are no special characters (and no spaces), no On Load or On Open events at all, and no reference back to the Switchboard anywhere.
I guess I may have to go the route of building my own menus, it will just drive me crazy not knowing why it is crashing...

If you want, you could zip and post the database (with any sensative data removed) and we can take a look at it to see if we can figure it out.
