Hello Everyone, fantastic to have found this forum.
Please let me know if it's possible to make the following with access 2007 forms (and if so, how).
1.
A table with 5 fields and maybe 1000 lines.
Requirement: show only the lines where the first field is of specific number.
So lets say now the table can show 80 lines.

Somehow select perhaps with a check box, certain lines and for these lines selected, apply a certain value to a certain field.
So, as a simple example, the database has 1000 books, each book has a certain category code and a specific book code which might be shared by various books and a price.
The form should have an option to search for a specific category code, than for this category select various books (perhaps not in sequence) then give them the same price.
many thanks!!

Hi
1 - Yes - (but why are you working with the Table?)
Q2 - Yes - (Same as q1)
Normally you would create Forms that would allow you to filter specific Records
Ans as for you sample explanation it would help if you could explain exactly what you need to do ?
Then we can try to give you a better answer
What tables have you created so far?
Can you give us an idea as to the structure of the tables?
For example:-
tblBooks
-BookID - PK - Auto
-BookName
-Category
tblCategory
-CategoryID
-Category
If you can layout your structure like this it would help us
Regards
Mike
