Full Version: Problems installing Access ODBC Driver

I'm trying to setup ODBC so that VBScript can use an Access Database, on a Windows Server 2008 machine.

I presume that I need to see something like 'MS Access' under the driver tab ? At the moment the only driver I have is 'SQL Server'.

I tried downloading this:
MS Data Connectivity Download

This installed a User DSN for MS Access, but it appears to be corrupt, because the driver is missing.

Do you need to use a DSN?

The text on that site suggests that you use something like “Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb)};DBQ=path to mdb/accdb file” as the connection string.

You will have to run the 32bit ODBC/DSN manager C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe and then you can add your accdb DSN.
