When using the feature in Accessd 2007 to create a report (export, etc.) as a PDF, does this mean it will PRINT to a PDF (requiring a printer setup) or does it just SAVE the report as a PDF?

Thanks,
mkoch

Save As ... PDF is a *save* operation, not a *print* operation.

When saving a report as a PDF in Access 2007/2010 you do not need to install a PDF printer driver. Access will convert the report to a PDF without any additional software.

As far as I know, Access reports will not render without a printer driver installed. I have not tested this with Access 2007 or 2010, to see if you can save a report to a PDF without any printer drivers installed. My guess is that you must have at least one printer driver installed. Curious if anyone has tested this senerio?
