Hi,

I entered a formula into a cell. The formula is "=F15" but when I press enter, it shows "=F15" instaed of the value in F15. Why?

Thank you.
Bob G
try using the + key and not the = key

John Ross,

Taking your post literally, =F15 should work (without the double quotes).

Hi,

Yes I tried =F15 & +F15 but it is showing =F15 / +F15 in my cell instead of the value.

Thanks.

1.) Select the field
2.) press CTRL + 1
3.) Change the category to General

If this hasn't auto corrected then click in the cell (i.e. edit it) and just press enter

Hi Danny,

I did what you said (Everything) and it worked. I wonder what happened to the cell?

Thank you!

Your cell was pre-formatted as text somehow.

If you are going to make other entries in the sheet, make sure the format is not text before entering anything to relieve you of the afterward steps...
