Hi,
New to this, so appologies for sounding stupid .....

I have created a database to store pupil records, the main input screen ("pupils input") is tabbed to three pages, first tab is general pupil info, second tab is progress,
on the third tab, the records I want to keep are details of pupil payments, with amount and date and then have a running total...

Cant for the life of me work out how to do this (and store the amounts for each pupil).

Looking through various posts, it seems I may have screwed up by creating a table ("pupilstable") and then creating the data input form ("pupils input") from that instead of a query...

If I add a subform to my original form ("pupils input"), I can input amounts and dates, but it doesnt tie in with individual pupils, that subform remains the same whichever pupil record I select..

Tearing hair out here.....

any help would be much appreciated.

Regards
Colin

Hi Colin

If you could upload a zipped copy of the Db then
we could offer advise based on the table structures
