I have a situation where I open 4 reports at once in "Tabbed Documents" mode, with "Display Document Tabs" set in Current Data Base Options.

The name of each report is displayed in its respective tab. The viewer can simply click on the tab to see the specific report he wants.

This is great. But!

Can I programatically or by a fixed setting change the color of each tab to its own unique color? I can't find out how to do this.

TIA

The quick answer is not really. However, if you create a "box" on the tab, you could change its color via VBA and that would give you the effect of what you are looking for.

yes??

There probably is something in the archives here for that already. have you tried a search ?

The system won't let me put a box or a label on the tab itself.

I have searched here and web-wide with no luck on this topic.

I do notice in the report properties sheet there is a line called "Palette Source". It is set to "default"

I've tried entering color codes into the line but the system doesn't like that.

What is "Palette Source" and what type entries will it take?

Thanks for your reply.

i was thinking of tabs on a form and not a report. sorry.

is it possible for you to make a small sample of what you have and zip and upload it?
