Hi, I have a report in Access 2007 that is based on Departments. Some Departments have three doctors (my detail records) and some have as many as 30. I have a Group Header that has the titles for each column in the detail section. I also have a Group Footer that totals my detail records. The group footer also has two reports that show other summary data for each Department.

Everything works except that the Group Header will display even if there isn't a single detail record on the second page. The reason the second page displays even though there is no detail record, is because the second page will show the two sub-reports. The two sub-reports are at the bottom of the Group Footer section.

I have tried playing with the Properties in the Group Header, but no matter what I do, I can't seem to stop it from showing when there are no detail records.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi,

You may have to employ some VBA code in the Report's Group Header's Format event. However, I think that would only work in Print Preview or when you actually print the report.

Just my 2 cents... 2cents.gif

Do you have such code? - My VBA skills are rudimentary..
Thanks!

Hi,

I don't have it handy but if you can post a zip demo with some test data, we could try it out for you.
