Full Version: Scroll Bars Not Visible In Acdialog View

Hello,

I have a form1 which opens via command button on form2. Here is the code behind the command button:

Private Sub Command33_Click()

Dim stDocName As String
Dim stLinkCriteria As String
stDocName = "form1"
stLinkCriteria = "[license]=" & "'" & Me!Text24 & "'"
DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName, , , stLinkCriteria, , acDialog

End Sub

The "acDialog" was set for form1 to open in front of form2. The issue is I cannot see scroll bars on form1. I tried changing acDialog to acWindowNormal, but this causes form1 to remain behind form2.

Any ideas on how to show scroll bars on form1 when open in acDialog?

Thank you.

Tommy,

Normally a just-opened form should not open behind another one. Is there a pop-up or dialog property set to TRUE on Form2?

By the way, you should really give your objects more meaningful names, if only so your database is easier to maintain in the future.

doctor9 - pop-up was set to TRUE on Form2. I changed the setting and it solved the problem.

Thank you for your prompt assistance!

Tommy,

Glad to help. Use those two properties sparingly, and you'll be good to go.
