After reading this let me know if I should go back to driving a truck. I like to drive.

I have imported all tables from active files in paradox. There are 14 tables used.

Defined relationships, made 2 select queries to do data entry, a main form and linked subform to it [based on the queries]. On the main form the data works great. When I change customer#, the customer name, labor rate and parts charge rates are updated and calculations in the details or updated.

But the subform dataset is not editable at all.
Message "This Recordset Is Not Updateable"
Where have I gone wrong? It was going great till it didn't work.
Am I close or need to start over. Looks close to me.

See if the underlying query is updateable. You may have to set your form to Dynaset (Inconsistent Updates) to make the form updateable.

I often find that if a query is based on 2 tables (or more) then the data is un-pdatable (as a fact of life)

Others may have some thoughts on this.

But you may need to re-think the way you are doing things.

I was a Paradox DOS user from way back and now love Access (once you get used to it)
