As amounts are entered in column B I am wondering if Excel would we able to automatically assign a ranking number in column C beginning with the lowest figure being assigned a "1" and the next highest figure a "2" etc.

Do-able?

You can use the Rank() function that comes with Excel (I am using XP BTW)
