Does anyone know convert/export a microsoft access' query (with design, table links, etc.) to a MS Query file *.dqy or *.qry? The ones I want to do it with are using linked odbc tables.

I think you can edit the SQL for the query in MS Query. If the connection is set up correctly between the two sources (Access and MS Query), I think that would be the only way.
Copy the SQL from Access in SQL view and paste it into MS Query.

I tried it and it doesn't work. MS Query tells me it can't graph the query and can't add the tables. The reason that I ask is that our support techs use MS Query to send queries back and forth. I basically want a way to put it in an E-mail.

Is the connection set up correctly? It should point to the same database/ODBC connection. I haven't tried it with ODBC connections, but for Northwind I get the message that says "SQL Query can't be represented graphically. Continue anyway?" After that, the query runs successfully.
If that doesn't help, open the .dqy file in Notepad. It appears to just be a text file that you might be able to modify.
