Hi All,
This is probably a very simple question. I'm pretty new to access and obtaining source data through an ODBC.
I heard that you can you modify the Source Data thru ODBC with Access. Is that true?
thxs!

It depends on the ODBC driver. The ODBC driver for the Sage accounting package, for example, lets you read data but does not let you change data. Most of the ODBC drivers I have seen, though, do allow you to modify the source data through Access.

Welcome to UA.
Yes - as long as the username has write access to the tables.

Hi,
I am trying to create a link between Sage Line50 v11 and Access, how did you do it/where did you get the ODBC driver?

Hi All,
I've managed to find out and create a link between Sage Line50 and Access. But my next question is the same as someone elses i think.
Can i modify/add data in Sage from Access? I dont have a user name and password set up so the manual tells me to use the username "manager" and leave the password field blank. I do this and it doesn't let me edit it, can anyone help me please?
Thank you.
