Hi guys,

New to the forum so not sure if doing this right way! Any hows to paint the picture...

Have a simple database (see attached) but not %100 sure I've created the relations correctly between two of the tables. One table is Project and the other is Product. Now a project should be able to have any number of products associated with it. I thought that it need a many to many relationship so created a link table between them....Is this correct.

Ultimately i would like to be able to have a form that displays a project with all its associated products in data view below in a sub form. Also the suborner is where I could either add a product to the project or delete one from it!

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

James

Welcome to UA James!

Your relationships look okay. You can now easily create a form using the new form wizard. Select all the fields from both Project and Product and Access will offer to arrange it in a form/subform layout.

Hi
Welcome to Utter Access Forums
The question I'd ask is:
If a project can have many produts can any product be part of many projects if so then I would lean more toward a M:M relations and use a junction table.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Sorry my terminology is not up to scratch, I used a junction table to create the M:M relationship. I tried using the form wizard..however ill try again I selected the junction table the first time round, i wont this time.
