Alright i'm wondering about the best method of having multiple pages on a report. Currently the case managers use corel and another program and merge data from one to another to get their forms. Since we're designing this new database to basically do away with the old methods I figured access would provide an easy way to go about accomplishing the same goal.

What I planned on doing: I was going to run a querry to search for the clientid. Than I want to place the 'static' data around the report similiar to their current forms... IE: Name, Address, Programs their currently in, etc.. It really seems like it should be pretty basic but i'm unsure how to make it so 1 report becomes multiple pages. The reports seem to be maxed out at 22" vertical and horizontally so my first though of placing the data where it 'should go' for each page on 1 report doesnt look like a very smart method. I've considered just creating 10 seperate reports off of one querry with each report laid out to 1 of their forms. That seems like the smart way to do it but than i'm curious how/if I can add to my switchboard for them to select Reports--->Assessment Package and have it so once they enter the client ID give them a method to print all 10 reports at the click of 1 button. It would also be nice if they could see all 10 reports somehow without having to type in the client ID 10 seperate times *the main reason why I was going to simply put everything into 1 report at first*.

Another thing I was curious about is if there is any way they could be prompted to select which reports they want printed if for whatever reason they didnt need form 7y or 8 but need 1-6, 9 and 10. If i'm not making sense i'm sorry! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is an emoticon story of how my day has gone thus far...

You might like to try a list box, you someone can pick anyone or whatever many clients they want to print.
You could set a query for the customer based on any criteria you want, like, activity within the last week to limit the list.

Second, look at the column properties of the report to print in multiple pages. For example, if your report has 7 columns per client, set it to that and look at your results. Than it is just a matter of setting your page breaks right.

Ahh I hadnt' even seen the option for page breaks.. That basicall solves my problem!

I think I was confusing in my question... I dont need multiple clients on reports. (IMG:http://www.utteraccess.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/frown.gif) I need them to be able to search for one client and than print out 10 pages of forms at once. I wasnt sure if it is better to put all 10 pages into one report or just make 10 different report formats. If i went with the second option I was wondering if there was a method of using a list box or something so they could select which of the 10 pages they want to print. They might not need a few of the center forms *#5-7* for some reason but still need numbers 1-4 and 8-10.

Also where are the column properties for the reports?

Column properties are in Page Setup from the file menu.
You can always use the printer dialog for selecting pages
