I have been asked to provide a report with the rows numbered sequentially. So, regardless of the content and order of the data, the first row will be numbered 1, the next one 2 and so on. I am looking for a function or reserved constant that I can put in a field value which will generate that number (or any other way to achieve the result).
Thanks for any help.

Welcome to UA!
Create an unbound textbox and put =1 in the control source. Look for the Running Sum property and set it to Overall. HTH
