Bio Educated as a Mechanical Engineer. I used those skills as a Process Engineer for many years. It seems that as time went on I saw the need to analyze, retrieve, and manipulate data. Oh the joy to find an application like Access! It has been my tool of choice since v2.0. Through the years I have used it to manage the class schedules at a gymnastics club, track software anomalies, automatically balance work loads, calibrate manufacturing processes, and the biggy was/is a process management application (falls into what is known in manufacturing as a CMMS).

For the last couple of years, my Access applications have relied heavily on SQL Server as the back end database. But also have been quite successful with the JET database engine, so back end db's have had up to 50 concurrent connections and still performed fairly well ... all with out corruption!

My work with Access has slowed down quite a bit as I have left the Automotive industry and joined an advocacy group named "Home School Legal Defense Association" (HSLDA). I am a titled as a Software Programmer / DBA. The preferred development platform is C# and SQL Server databases. As time goes on, I may be able to wear them down to let me do a project in Access/SQL Server .... Lord knows it will probably be a quicker developement time! ..

As I experience the challenge of learning a new software language, I am enjoying the gifts God has blessed me with! ... and I am not just talking my love for programming and development, but I am referring mostly to my incredible Wife and our 8 kids. The mix of kids is rather easy ... 7 boys (13yrs - 4yrs, and brand new one) and 1 girl (2yr).... good times! ...
Hobbies My Kids (7 Boys & 1 Girl), UA, Home Repair! -- The oldest child is 13 ... youngest is new in 09
