Binding in Access is an action (or maybe condition) where the controls on a form are "tied" to the fields of a recordsets. The bound control displays the record's corresponding value, and updates to the control (for example, changing a name from "Tom" to "Tim") are fed back into the recordset, and ultimately, the table on which the recordset is based.
