Keyboard UI Design

This page is a stub. Please help us by expanding or merging it with applicable content

An intuitive Keyboard interface to an application is an often overlooked yet essential part of any robust application. With a well designed Keyboard UI, users can often perform routine tasks in a fraction of the time as required by using a mouse input.

For routine application tasks, it may do us well to design the Keyboard UI as the primary interaction tool and allow these tasks to be completed without the use of the mouse at all - as soon as the user needs to take his/her hand off the keyboard and go to the mouse a drastic amount of efficiency is lost.

For a complete Guideline for Keyboard User Interface Design (a 32 page printed article provided by the MSDN), please see the UI Design section of the Links page.
