    Create A New Disambiguation Page (HowTo)

This HowTo article gives instructions on how to edit an existing disambiguation page to include another page.

Step 1: Find the Disambig Page

There's a number of ways we can find a disambiguation page. If there is a known page which is part of the Disambiguation Group that you will add to, navigate to that page, Edit to see the markup, and the first line you see will be {{GetDAB|dab:PageName}}. The dab:PageName is the actual page title.

Another method of finding a disambig page would be to scroll through the dabpages category, where all the disambiguation pages are listed.

Step 2: Add Your Page to the List

Once you've navigated to the appropriate disambig page, edit the article to see the table/entry templates. Add an additional DABEntry line to the existing list to add your page. The syntax (for a single line in an existing list) will look like this:

Save the page. All existing pages will now reflect the changes you made.

Step 3: Link Your Page

The final step is to include the template call in your page so the disambiguation list shows up. Go to your page, edit it, and put the following in the first line of the page:

(dab:PageName is the name of the actual disambiguation page that you found in Step 1).

Your page show now show the Disambiguation List at the top of the page, and it should also now be a part of the Disambiguated Pages category.
