I've tried but I just can't make the Chart Wizard do what I want and, yes, I'm pretty sure it's simple. Attached snip from Excel 2010 is the data and chart (created with a single click!).
Attached File  Chart1_snip.JPG ( 46.34K )Number of downloads: 2

But I'd like to do the same in an Access 2010 report. The data are not necessarily related to the project I'm working on but rather a means to help me understand how Access handles charts.

Can someone show me the way without a Transform or Pivot Chart?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Richard

Maybe. I need data. If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

Once Access wizard has built chart, modify it as needed.

This is the zipped version of the database I'm working with. Table1 is the data I'm using and Report1 has the chart control.

Your help would be appreciated.

Is this really your raw data?

Change RowSource to:

SELECT DESC, Qtr1, Qtr2, Qtr3, Qtr4 FROM Table1;

Then in chart design, change from ByColumn to ByRow on the chart editor toolbar.

Format Y axis numbers to display as Currency.

June7, thanks for the explanation. What I was missing was the double click of the chart image to open the chart editor tool bar.
