I have this app on our network setup and it is working fine. But when I installed/Setup on a user's site I am not able to write to the back end tables in other words when I open the app it freezes, the IT at the site says the users have read access to the folder which has the DB is that enough? what exactly they are missing in access privileges on their end. BTW I never face such issue at our work location. Advice and suggestions will be appreciated!!! |

All db users trying to connect and modify the BE file should have read/write/modify/delete permissions to the BE folder. -------------------- Just my 2 cents... Each user MUST be able to create that lccdb, update it (if they open the accdb after someone else has already opened it) and delete it when they are the last person to close the accdb. That means ALL users must have the permissions outlined. -------------------- My Real Name Is George. Grover Park Consulting is where I did business for 20 years. For the NETWORK FOLDER itself, along with any files in it that need to be modified.... -------------------- My Real Name Is George. Grover Park Consulting is where I did business for 20 years. If you read my first reply above, I said "BE folder," which means if your BE's name is MyBE.ACCB and you are storing it on a network share like, X:\DepartmentName\Databases\MyDB\, then all users of MyBE.ACCDB will need "full" permission to the folder \MyDB\ on the network computer. -------------------- Just my 2 cents...
