Ouch. I truly dislike those ugly rounded corners - a left-over from the past.
It makes little sense to distract users familiar with the Windows interface with something most Windows users haven't met before.

Play by the rules. If Access needs a brush-up (and it does), stick to the Metro/Modern guidelines. Examples are here:
