oes anyone know how to create PST file of all contacts to be used as a backup via code?

You can use the FileCopy Statement to copy the PST file to another location.

Thanks Matt,
He have no existing PST to copy so FileCopy is not a viable solution. This is going to be part of a larger VBScript.

I'm creating the file. It would be like File/Import and Export/Export to File except via code. This is going to be part of a larger script the will manipulate the users contacts. I just want to create a back of the users contacts first in case something goes wrong.

I’m not sure how to create a new PST. You could create a new folder within the existing PST and copy the contents of the Contacts folder to the new folder for backup purposes.

Why not just export to spreadsheet.
It's easy to import from XLS as well as many other formats into outlook
